"Asian Women Donors Grant $82,000 to NYC Artists and Non-Profits Committed to Activism Thru the Arts" Less than 1% of philanthropic dollars go to Asian American communities in the U.S. The Asian Women Giving Circle is a group of Asian American women pooling their money to fund other Asian women in NYC who use the tools of art to further a social equity goal.

11.18.07 – Title Change – Name of documentary film changes from Among Our Kin to Can because Can Truong becomes the only subject for the documentary.

11.16.07 – Los Angeles, CA – "Passing The Torch: New Advocates, New Skills, New Alliances" annual conference of National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy. Can Truong is one of the keynote speakers. Pearl J.
